Well, it is finally here!
The 7-Star luxury Snuggles Pet Resort Cattery is now open!
Like our kennel, our cattery has been specifically designed with cats in mind, addressing their needs for time spent in a confined area, no matter that it is a luxurious, climate controlled, stress-reducing and an enjoyable one.
The first thing you will notice in our cattery is the sense of light and space, with lots of windows to not only let the light in, but also to bring inside the views and activity that is always going on outside. Views of the paddocks, wildlife and farm animals are always available to our guests and never fail to keep the cats interested.
Now open: The Canberra region’s only 7-star cattery — spacious, sunlit, and purpose-built for feline comfort and joy.
The next thing you will notice is the size of the individual suites. Our smallest suite is larger than any other you will find for a similar price and contains everything your cat needs to reduce stress and maximise its enjoyment while with us.
Height is very important for cats, as they like to perch up high and keep on eye on the world. This is because cats are prey animals and like to spot small prey from up high, but also because, being a smaller animal, cats were also prey for larger animals. So, a high perch provides the cat/s with both a sense of safety and an opportunity to observe prey – both very important in de-stressing cats in a confined area. This is part of a cat’s natural behaviour, and something that needs to be encouraged in a confined environment.
Built for instinct and peace of mind — high perches, layered levels, and stress-free privacy in every suite.
Because of that, we have multiple levels for cats to perch upon in every single one of our suites, with one long, high perch put higher than most humans at about 2200mm. The cats love them, as they can see everything inside and outside – except for most of the other cats in our care.
That is because each glass wall at the front of each suite is frosted to 1.2 metres, allowing all cats to avoid the gaze of other cats, if they wish to. Again, this reduces the stress for the cats.
All fixtures and fittings have been included for the benefit of the cat – to reduce stress, to encourage playtime, and give them the ultimate in comfortable and luxurious surroundings. All suites have good separation between meals area, sleeping area and toileting area, again providing cats with a stress-free situation of not having to toilet near eating or sleeping areas.
Our luxury cattery is also climate controlled all year round, with ducted reverse-cycle heating and air-conditioning.
Our outside play areas for the cats have plenty of natural materials to keep the cats motivated to exhibit their natural behaviours, with tree branches to climb or sharpen their nails upon, catnip toys to play with, different levels to climb, perch or jump upon. They have views to adjacent paddocks and a window to the neighbouring unit, allowing cats to interact safely – if they want to.
At Snuggles, we provide everything for your cat/s that they will need for their stay and at the one price only. We do NOT charge extra for administering your cat’s medications, providing that occurs during our normal business hours. or making up any special foods you might provide for your cat/s health or diet.

Classic Suites
Our Classic Suites are our ‘entry level’ suites, but they are far from entry level as far as space, amenities and luxury goes. You just won’t find this sort of luxury anywhere else at this price.
Each suite is more than 2 metres wide x two metres deep and full height at 2.35 metres high, providing more than 9 cubic metres of space for your cat/s. Full of different platforms at different heights, luxurious bedding, toys, scratching pads, a massive rope to climb or just tear at with their claws, and, most importantly, ……
Adventure Suites
Our Adventure suites are so named because they not only have the massive indoor area and features of the Classic Suites, but they also have a huge 1.8m x 1.0m window facing out towards our paddocks and hills, AND a private, secure outside area the same size as the indoor area (total of more than 18.5 cubic metres) in which to play, watch the birds, sit in the sun, be exposed to the fresh air and watch the world go by.
All of these suites overlook either our house paddocks, with horses, sheep, goats and alpacas to look at, or the spare paddock, where the wildlife, such as kangaroos, deer, wombats, foxes and rabbits are constantly on the move.
Fantasy Suites
Our Fantasy Suites are one of our nicest accommodation options, with a huge, full bay window looking over the beautiful Tindery Ranges, facing east, to soak up that wonderful morning sun.
These suites are larger than the Classic and Adventure Suites, but do not come with an outdoor area as they are designed for the home-based cat that doesn’t roam around outside terrorising the native wildlife.
These suites are wonderful for the cat that loves to bask in the sun in extreme luxury, with handmade inclusions, and plenty of different levels for cats to jump around on when they’re in the mood, or to just nestle down into the soft warm, bedding and watch the world go by outside.
You have the choice of our ‘Country Room Suite” or the ‘Unicorn Bedroom Suite’, both of which are beautifully hand decorated and filled with items that will keep your cat/s amused for hours each day.
Family Suites
Our Family Suites are much larger than our Luxury Suites, with around 50% extra room, and so can accommodate a family of up to four cats and still have enough room for them all to madly play together or to spend hours in luxurious comfort far enough away from each other to relax entirely.
Each of the Family Suites also comes with its own private and secure outside area, just like the Adventure Suites, and are decorated in wonderful themes and colours to suit the feline preferences for calming shades.
You have the choice of our ‘Zen Suite” or the ‘100 Acre Wood Suite’, both of which are beautifully hand decorated and filled with items that will keep your cat/s amused for hours each day.
Penthouse Suites
As the name would suggest, our two Penthouse Suites are very similar in fixtures, fittings, inclusions and entertainment to our other Fantasy Suites, except these also include a large, private, secure, outside play area as well.
These two suites are our largest and most luxurious suites, providing your cat/s with more than 23 cubic metres of space to play, jump, perch, practice hunting and stalking skills and relax in total comfort and luxury both inside and in a secure outside, natural-style environment.
You have the choice of our ‘Catio Suite” or the ‘Hello Kitty! Suite, both of which are beautifully hand decorated and filled with various curiosities and items that will keep your cat/s amused for hours each day.
