Snuggles Pet Resort charges its fees on a per-day basis, not per night.

It works pretty much the same as charging fees on a per-night basis, with no charge for your last day’s stay if you depart in our morning session of 8.30am – 11.00am.

Check-in and departure times for guests can be anytime during our advertised opening hours, which vary between the summer and winter seasons. We do ask for an indicative time for both arrival and departure so we have a guide as to assigning staff duties.

We do offer some of our guests more flexible arrival and departure times upon request, if they are travelling from areas more than an hour or two away from Snuggles, but there is no guarantee that we will be able to automatically satisfy any request.

If your dog departs in our morning session before 11:00 am you do NOT pay for that day. If your dog departs during our afternoon session (after 11.00am) on any day then you DO pay for that day.

All our accommodation features the same luxury suites for each dog in our care, as we believe all dogs should be treated equally well, no matter the time of year or season.

This is why we charge the same price for everyone, all year round, no matter the size, weight or breed of dog. All dogs are treated like our babies and all receive the same care for the same fee.

With our luxury cattery, we have several grades of accommodation available, including luxury suites with indoor and outdoor facilities, so we have different costs for each different suite.

At Snuggles, we try not to have any extra charges, so medications and special diets are catered for at NO EXTRA COST, as long as they occur during or around our normal business hours. If medication, particularly injections of insulin, is required outside of our normal business hours we will have to impose a charge only for the staff time required to do so.

If your dog or cat is a diabetic and normally requires insulin injections outside of our normal business hours at home, we do encourage you to speak to your vet well in advance of your stay to see if you can move feeding and insulin injection times around without negative effect on you fur baby.

Unlike other boarding facilities, we don’t consider your pet’s special needs as an opportunity to extract more fees from you, but just part of the proper care and attention necessary for every pet, regardless of individual circumstances. We are, however, required by law to pay staff overtime when working past their normal hours.

What is included in the cost:

• Luxury kennel accommodation for your dogs in one of our 24 heated and cooled luxury suites (15m²).
• Large and luxurious accommodation for your cats in our sumptuous havens of relaxed comfort (various sizes from 9.4m³ to
• Two meals per day depending on your pet’s requirements, including what we consider to be the best pet food on the market today – Lifewise Pet Food – dry foods, ensuring your pets receive a fully complete and balanced diet suited to their age, size and any other special needs.
• A variety of tasty treats will be provided to your dogs and cats on a regular basis to reward, entertain or just because we like to spoil them.
• Plenty of fresh water is available all day and night, and is provided in non-slip, impossible to knock over bowls.
• A minimum of two x two hour exercise periods per day is included for all dogs, depending on health, age, fitness, breed, etc. This is by far the most exercise offered by any boarding facility in the region.
• Cats have plenty of room and differing platform heights to cover their exercise needs and, for some, the opportunity to play outside in their own, fully covered, escape-proof, large, outdoor play area.
• And, as our name suggest we always provide plenty of love, affection and, of course, free Snuggles!

At Snuggles, we care for every pet equally, regardless of whether it has special needs or not. They are all our babies, just like they are your babies, and if that means some pets need different care than some others, we don’t consider that “extra”.

Sometimes we might have some older, smaller dogs wandering the hallway and
outdoor areas because they are too old or fragile to undertake vigorous exercise with other dogs of similar size. Sometimes you might find one of them sitting on our lap, or one of our staff sitting in the kennel or cat suite, door open, giving the dogs or cats some loving and attention.

We’re not your typical pet boarding facility here at Snuggles – we are what a boarding facility should be – where peace-of-mind is more important to you, to us, and particularly for your pet!

Fees

A surcharge of 20% applies for peak holiday period between 15 December – 31 January.

A healthy discount applies for stays of 21 days or more and larger discounts will apply for longer stays – determined on a case-by-case basis. NO DISCOUNTS will apply during peak periods of April, July and October school holidays, December/January holiday period, the Easter long weekend and all other long weekend periods.

At Snuggles Pet Resort, everything your pets need for the one fee. We have no extras to offer, because everything is included. And we, as former customers of other facilities elsewhere, think that’s the way it should be. Everywhere!
